Terrariums

This is our terrarium where me and my friend planted plants.
Theres many different plants we have in our terrarium like radish, corn, pea, clover, and barley.
As our plants grew we added some insects which are darkling beetles and isopods.
While the plants grew and the insects lived the radish and barley didn't grow, but corn, pea, and clover grew up to about at least 4 cm.
One Important enviormental factor that affected our terrarium was that we didn't water it thats why our plants are dry and it made all of our plants die.

Terrarium Enviorment

Our terrariums have a rectangle shape and is clear.
we have 6 different types of seeds, radish, corn, barley, clover, and pea.
we had 5 isopods until 4 ran away and then we only had 1.
The next day after we looked and the isopod was gone.
As each day past by we saw how tall our plants were growing and our pea plant has grow the most and is about to die because it is almost broke, and our barley isn't even grown yet.
Since our isopods are all gone we got a darkling beetle from our friends.
We named our beetle Rocky Balboa.

After Camp

This is a picture of my friend Paige this is a string figure it was what some Indian tribes used as a game, this figure is a mosquito, if you smash it and let your pinkie go and its like you killed the mosquito.

it was a fun activity because we learned it with Mr.reed, all of us 5th graders have it and are enjoying playing with them!

and hope we all had a good time!

All About Camp

I can't wait until camp its Monday i think ill have so much fun because i get to leave my house!
I hope i get Allie (my friend) as my bunk Buddy because i most conferable with sharing a bunk with her.
i think this will be a good memories as I'm in middle school and thinking back to all the good times hiking, and doing science stuff.
I'm looking forward to learn fun stuff in all the classes, and the food i hope its good.
I'm hoping but not sure that we might have a camp fire all together, wishing this will be the best time of my life!

The Foss Plane Experiment

Hey my name is Shannon I'm in the black athletic wear.... this is a Foss plane i made it about a week and a half ago. I made it with a propeller, rubber band, string,straws, and parts of a Popsicle stick.

I liked this experiment because if we wanted to make it go we had to turn the propeller clockwise, if not the propeller would make a click to say you going the wrong way. This experiment is in science the variables unit. During this unit we also did boats and we about to start catapults.


We tested them by twisting the propeller and if it just hit the chair then it means you found your answer how many times you twisted the propeller.

i learned that you have to turn the propeller a certain amount of turns or else it wont make it all the way to the chair.

valentines day

valentines day is a day that every one pass out valentine cards and so parents ask if they want to be there valentine. and valentines day is on febuary 14th and i love the big chocolate hearts that are big and i love the small candy hearts i buy thoses all the time and i cant wait till valentines day because all the candy you get from friends and family so have a happy valentines day!!

BarackObama Becomes Are New President

today at 12:00 (noon) Barack Obama Says the oath of office (promise) to be a good president and obey the laws and i think that Barack Obama will do good being our president and at the Inauguration there were over 100 thousand people there surrounding national mall and other places around there cheering on Barack Obama and giving smiles, hugs, and even kisses from other presidents! wow! i wish i was there but i wasn't i was watching it though and i watched Barack Obama give his speech from the heart to be a good president and o my gosh Barack Obama's Daughters are so Lucky they get to start to live in the white house and live there what a great chance to get history on that if i was the presidents daughter i would get history on the white house.
its just about 1 and a million chance to be the president or the presidents daughter or daughters and if you are the president or the presidents daughter or son your a lucky boy, girl, man , or women.

Mike's Problem

I disagree with mikes decision because the liquid inside the barrel might be something he doesn't know about, like what chemicals have been dissolved in the barrel , like citric acid and more harmful chemicals that could kill the harmless animals in the river.

Detroit Pistons

I can't believe that the pistons coach traded chauncey billups for alan iverison that was a terrible choice.. well thats what i think, but just a few days ago the pistons won there game 88-87 they only won because one point was given because the other team had a foul with only 9 seconds left the it was only 2.9 seconds after the foul and the other team had the ball and then they tried to take the shot and right when the ball was in the air the game was over and the ball hit the back board.
but since the pistons traded chauncey billups the pistons haven't been having a great season but im still gonna have my hopes up!

Hospitality House Serves You!

If you were someone that lost there house, money, or car than you should consider going to hospitality house ,They take there time to serve you because they help people out and they aren’t even getting paid for it, because people give them the food so they don’t have to pay for it.
These people working at hospitality house take time out of there life for you.
Walled Lake Elementary 5th graders brought in almost 1000 pounds of food in, (975 pounds)… don’t you think that’s a lot?
also if you give a can or box of food your just about a life saver just like Walled Lake Elementary 5th graders.
Hospitality house only gives food to people that have a good explanation for why they need it and for an real example: A lady lost her car, her money, and her house got taken away because she couldn’t afford to pay for it so she had to live with her son that was about to go to college.
And that is what I think Hospitality house is a great place for people in need.
